Our PROJECT –
1.) ROSHNI –
Most of the Indian population lives in villages, slums and various other under-served remote areas. Most of them live below the poverty line and are devoid of the basic requirements for living. There is a darkness in and around them. If we consider the multi-dimensional poverty index as the criteria we will find them living in very pathetic conditions.
Besides poverty and meagre means for survival there is lack of awareness about health conditions. Millions in India lose their eye sight also. Due to this India has maximum number of blind population in the world. All these factors lead to darkness in their life and eyes both.
Keeping this in mind we have launched our unique service project – ROSHNI (रोशनी). This program is focused basically on the Youth and Residents (men & women alike) of the underprivileged families.
For the Youth:
•Eye checkup of the children of Nagar Nigam and other Government schools
•Motivational talks on the Values & Career Guidance.
For Adults living in Slums and underdeveloped areas:
•Free Eye checkup and operations
•Talks on health, hygiene, cleanliness, proper disposal of house waste and awareness to keep the surrounding clean.
